David loathed the movie, and so did fans of the original series. Here’s what David had to say about the film during a 2009 interview: “In a word, I thought it sucked. It was a terrible film. I didn’t like it at all. It was not Starsky & Hutch; it was people playing at being Starsky & Hutch and did not reflect the real relationship at all. Whatever humor we had was generally unforced humor. They really worked at it hard.”
