This is absolutely incredible. I’m sure David is very proud of this great work of art. It truely does honor the many, many talents of such a dynamic individual. David has always put his heart and soul into everything he’s ever done, filled with such emotion. Add his talent for singing and songwriting and you have a truely remarkable person. David is someone we all can relate to, a real person, whose not afraid to stand up for what is right and has never been afraid to speak his mind, a true activist. I’m so glad however, that David decided not to follow a career in diplomatic service for we would have missed out on knowing the joy of David Soul. David is a star that will always shine. Thank you Carla and Laura for all your hard work in producing this tribute to David, you have made me one very happy fan.
Kathy, I’m total agreement with your statement, even though I have never met him in person,but to hear how others talk about Mr. Soul, I feel I have. I think he is a great actor/musician/author. I could listen to him speak or sing anytime. I hope someday I will get to opportunity to meet him.

Thank you for this piece of art. I was totally amazed. I smiled and travelled through time. I grew up with him, as a dedicated fan of his music. Many of his songs related to events that were happening in my life. A very important lesson on a man who truly stood up for what he believed in. We thank him for his music, for his acting talent, and most of all, for HIS lesson of life. EXCELLENT work!

I had to watch this a couple times, as the tears of appreciation blurred my vision. The testimonial that you have accomplished here is truly a masterpiece. I truly hope that David has watched this and has witnessed the love that was put into it. Every aspect of his life has touched deep within myself and the world around. You know, many people live a life of accomplishments and receive recognition for them over the years. They do many great things and receive awards or medals and such. After that person dies, though, it seems that is when the greatest recognition of that person’s life is presented. They receive the highest praise and honor because the emotions of the people doing it are on such a high that any negative is far from the mind. True love for that person is expressed then, and the deceased has no clue “how much” they were truly loved and to what degree they touched the lives of others. I do believe, however, that you and Laura have made the exception to that rule with the most beautiful and touching compilation of many years of David’s life. The beautiful part is, he is still here and could possibly see it, unlike many who have gone on. I do not believe that Hollywood could have said it or made it any better than the two of you. Awesome job!!! A true masterpiece. Carla, I would like to thank you and Laura personally for your hard work and dedication in making this and making it available to all his fans.

I have never seen another fan video tribute to David quite like this before. I smiled, I cried, I reminisced… watching it reinforced the reason I have loved this man over 40 years. There is no one quite like him and as far as I am concerned there never will be. An amazing video tribute to an absolutely amazing man. Words elude me at the moment so I am going to take some time and let this video inspire my thoughts. Then I will return to post again. In the meantime, thank you SO much for sharing this labor of love with the rest of us who love him so much.
I hardly know where to start, except to say the obvious — I *loved* this! Excellent work, Carla and Laura. Your affection and respect for David Soul and his work really came through. I particularly liked the quotes from David to accompany the photographs. And what a collection of photographs! I admit I didn’t even know about David Soul or Starsky & Hutch until May of 2010, except maybe tangentially. All of that certainly changed after I saw the S&H “Pilot” —
So … the extent, scope, and span of his work, his music, his talent is quite amazing. You caught the highlights in such a beautiful and compelling way. I am very taken with his advocacy work and with the causes to which he lends support and his entreaty for all of us to get involved in our communities. Thanks for making this and sharing it with us. What a wonderful tribute to a man of many talents. I loved Starsky and Hutch as a teenager and as an adult at the age of 51, I still love to watch it as much as I did back when it was a new series. David and Paul had such a great relationship on and off the set. Great career my friend!
